Lottery Plans
My spouse came home on Friday, very excited to show me the Powerball tickets he had purchased. It started a whole conversation about how much money it is and what we would do if we won. The conversation involved us both planning to quit our jobs and following our individual passions.
It made me start to think about what would I do if money, bills, benefits, status, or the daily grind didn’t matter. What would I do if I could do anything I wanted and knew that all my essentials would be taken care of? I began to mentally list all the things that light me up and give me purpose- all of the things that I would do for free.
What are those things for you? What do you get excited about? What lights you up? What gives you a sense of purpose?
Once we define those things, why do we wait to win the lottery to make a path towards them?
This year, I am making a commitment to myself. It is a promise to get clarity and create a vision for my future and make steps towards it. I’m not going to wait for the Powerball winnings to get moving. Not going to lie though… they wouldn’t hurt!
